About a year and a half ago I came up with the phrase FBO (ef-bee-oh) in order to signify when something becomes Facebook Official - because nothing is ever really official until it is posted on Facebook. Today, I was on UrbanDictionary.com and I discovered, to my great delight, that my definition has actually been accepted. It is now a real expression. Success!

Food for a College Student
As many of you all know, money in college can be a little tight at times. It's not every day that we can enjoy a Chipotle burrito or much less a McDonald's dollar menu item. That's why in dire circumstances many of us must resort to...other means. Yes, I'm talking about the base food group on the college student pyramid of food. Ramen noodles. A few weeks ago, one of my friends decided to leave me a generous inheritence of all his leftover Ramen from college. The result: I never have to eat out again.
Website 2.0
The other day it occured to me that the reason I haven't been posting to my blog was because of my old theme. It was obviously a default theme that I slightly modified to look cool but it just wasn't me. It was bland and I never really liked it from the begining. So this Friday, I sat down in front of my computer and for about 10 hours worked on a new theme. I took another existing drupal theme and slightly modified it to make it more refreshing. More...like me. So without further adue, I present to you vincentcatalano.com 2.0.
Nogales, Mexico Outreach
This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to go on a day long outreach trip to Nogales, Mexico with Glad Tidings church. We left Tucson around 1100 and arrived in Nogales a little past noon. We met up with pastor Hector who pastors two churches in the city and is heading the first Christian television network in Mexico – soon to go live in the next few weeks. He also started a restaurant that helps fund the television project. After stopping there to eat, we continued out to the dump where one of the churches was located. According to pastor Hector, the normal congregation consists of about thirty people; that night, nearly one-hundred and seventy people showed up (about seventy of them children). The worship team preformed and the pastors from Glad Tidings shared a message that paralleled the game show Deal or No Deal – known as “Vas o No Vas” in Mexico. The main point talked about who we were choosing to make a deal with in our lives, Satan or God.
